Just received an email for a reptile show that is free for educators in the greater Baltimore area. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would even think twice about this creepy, crawly event I would have smacked you across the face and told you where to go.
Now? Hanging out with all of these boys who love reptiles and anything creepy and crawly has made me actually think about going. It's free. It's educational. And I'd be the coolest teacher in the world if I came back Monday morning and told all my little guys about holding a tarantula or letting a snake crawl on me.
Then I remembered that I have some extreme anxiety... I don't like going new places alone, I'm terrified of anything creepy and or crawly, I don't like large crowds of people, I can't seem to function if I don't know where the nearest emergency exit is, and the list goes on.
So perhaps I'll sit this one out. It's the thought that counts, right?
