1. What kind of hair(color/cut) have you always wanted but never had the nerve to do it?
I've always wanted brunette hair. I love brunette's with light eyes and fair skin (which I possess, duh!). Every time I go to the salon to get it done, the stylists talk me out of it. They say my skin is perfect for blonde. I would LOVE to go brunette with a cute bob or long curls.
2. If you haven't been/or could do it over, where would/did you go on your honeymoon?
Well.. the ex and I didn't have a honeymoon, as we were married in Aruba. So it served as our wedding/honeymoon that happened to include our closest family and friends. I'm still pro-marriage (as long as it's the right person, duh!) so I'm hoping to get a do over. I would LOVE to go to Greece or any Caribbean island.
3. What is your dream car?
If we're being realistic, I'd love a Jetta. If we're talking true dream car, I'd love nothing more than to rock a 1964 1/2 Red Mustang Convertible.
4. If you would move anywhere in the world where would you go?
Germany. I LOVED living there before and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Except this time I'd live off post and within walking distance to a quaint little downtown.
5. What famous lady would you love to be or be bff with?
I'd have to go with Jennifer Aniston. She seems so chill and down to earth. Plus, she's super adorable.
6. What colors did you do or do you want to do for your wedding?
Black/hot pink. The ladies wore black dresses with pink flowers and the men wore black tuxes with hot pink vests/ties.
7. What trashy reality show are you embarrassingly addicted to?
Which one? All of them. I love me some reality shows. Bring on The Bachelor/ette, Bachelor Pad, Real World, any of the Real World Challenges, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and many more.
8. Do you you remember your first kiss? How old were you and how awkward was it?
I honestly cannot remember. It obviously was pretty lame.
9. What is your guilty pleasure?
Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper chips. Mmmmmmmm!
10. What is your favorite chick flick?
I despise watching movies more than once, but I do love me some Sweet Home Alabama and Pretty Woman.
11. What is your favorite beverage?
Alcoholic? A nice glass of white wine, preferably a Riesling or pinot grigio.
Non Alcoholic? Diet Pepsi or water with lemon.
12. What is your theme song?
Definitely something by Britney Spears. Probably "Oops! I Did it Again!" but not like the lyrics go. Mainly because I'm constantly doing something I shouldn't.
13. Who is your style icon?
Jennifer Aniston. I love how she rocks classic with a twist.
14. When was the last time you cried and why?
Yesterday. I have a lot going on and I was just super-stressed. Maryland BFF is pregnant and hormonal, so she was crying too. I'm a fan of crying to release your feelings. It's amazing how a good cry can actually make you feel better.
15. What playlist/cd is on your CD player/iPod right now?
I'm totally rocking out to Jack Johnson. Ironically, I knew nothing about him until someone posted a video a few weeks ago. Basically, I heart him now.
16. What is your favorite dessert?
Turtle Cheesecake, dripping in caramel. Mmmm.

ABC's of ME!
Stolen from Ashley, but she invited others to play along so it's all good.
A- My AIR CONDITIONER is set on: Either high or low. It's a wall unit in my living room and bedroom, so whatever I turn it to.
B- My BEDROOM theme is: Very Earthy. Browns, greens, white, and a large picture with pears on it.
C- The CAR in the driveway is: A 2005 Ford Escape. White, of course.
D- My DESK looks: like someone has some work to do. I have lots of piles because it's not really my space (I'm in a different school for the summer) so I can't put anything "away".
E- The EXACT time I wake up daily is: 6:00.. I'm an early riser. Don't know why. I can't stand getting to work on time. I must be early. Makes me feel better AND I get things accomplished before others can interrupt.
F- The FIRST thing I wash in the shower is: my hair.
G- My GARAGE is filled with: garage? What garage? I live in Maryland. Only million dollar homes have garages.
H- My HOUSE is: a cute little condo.
I- If you peeked INSIDE my bedroom you'd see: a freshly made bed and everything put away.
J- My favorite JUICE is: V8 splash or white grape juice.
K- The best part of my KITCHEN is: my Kitchenaid mixer. It was a gift from my grandmother and I cherish it.
L- The LAST person who visited my home was: the Mom's (mom and her BFF), Joyce, and Auntie Em. Love those ladies.
M- The last piece of MAIL for me was: a bridal shower invite (Yay! Jess is getting married!)
N- My NEIGHBORS think I'm: crazy?! I talk to Zoey no less than 938 times a day.
O- If you OPENED my fridge you'd see: fruit, veggies, milk, and butter.
P- My last house PARTY was: Umm.. never? My place is too small to host gatherings.
Q- A QUICK meal I like to fix is: homemade macaroni and cheese. Mmmm. Shout out to Miss Lizzie for teaching me how to make it just right.
R- My favorite ROOM of the house is: the kitchen. I enjoy cooking.
S- The SHAMPOO brand I use is: Pantene frizz control. Daddy blessed me with some outrageous little curly q's right around the edges. It's awesome to try and control. Not.
T- My largest TELEVISION is: who knows? I certainly don't.
U- UNDER my bed you will find: nothing! My IKEA bed is a low profile bed, so there's no room under the box spring.
V- The last time I VACUUMED was: last week. Don't tell my mother. She'd think I was gross.
W- Looking out my WINDOW I see: branches and a parking lot. I prefer the branches.
X- I wish I had X-TRA: money. Don't we all, though?
Y- My YARD is: non-existent. Although, I do have a courtyard to walk Miss Zobo in.
Z- ZZZZZZZ My bedtime is: around 10:30 or 11 in the summer and 10:00 during the school year.
Play along with me! I want to know the ABC's of YOU!
Let me know if you do this! I'd love to see your answers! :)

Q&A
1. How old do you look?
I have been told many times that I look "so young". I was even recently carded for buying a candle lighter at the grocery store. So, apparently I don't even look 18! When I was in college doing a pre-internship, I had a parent ask me what grade I was in. I was like, "Um.. I'm in college and I'm teaching your child."
2. Where do you live?
Maryland, but who knows what the future might bring!
3. Are you waiting for something?
Nothing in particular. Well, I guess that's not true.. I'm waiting for the Olympics to come back on at 8:00pm!
4. What’s one pet peeve of yours that is not common?
I don't like the toilet paper being fed from the bottom. It also drives me crazy when people are Darth Vader breathers. You know, audible breathing.
5. Do you want/have kids?
I have a classroom full of them! I would love to have a child of my own someday, if it's meant to be for me.
6. Have you ever thought about converting your religion?
I'm not a deeply religious person.
7. Last shocking news you heard?
The sound of a baby crying over the baby monitor. I'm currently babysitting and it was a shocking sound when you're not used to it!
8. What was the last thing you drank?
Coke. You all know me, I'm not a Coke fan. It was all they had.
9. Who do you most look like in your family?
Ha! That's an easy one. Grandma. It's amazing how similar we look. I came across an old photo of a baby and the only way you know it was her was because it was in black and white.
10. If you could have something right now, anything, what would it be?
Hmm.. I can't think of anything other than a Starbuck's Peppermint Mocha. Now that? That's true love.
11. Where does most of your family live?
The mitten state-- Michigan.
12. Where did you grow up?
Kalamazoo, MI area
13. Where do you want to go on vacation?
My dream vacation would be Greece.
14. Have you ever had a panic attack?
Yes. It's not a good feeling. You feel like you just might be dying.
15. What can’t you wait for?
I can't wait for Spring! I'm pretty tired of all this snow.
16. Have you ever smoked?
Yup. Sorry Mom.
17. Want someone back in your life?
My grandfather. I was the apple of his eye...
18. What do you order at the bar?
Depends.. usually a beer of some sort if I'm at a bar. At dinner, a nice glass of white wine.
19. When was the last time you cried really, really hard?
About 3 months ago, when we made the decision to separate/divorce.
20. Ever licked someone’s cheek?
Yeah, only because I was being silly.
21. What is your favorite thing to eat with peanut butter?
Apples or celery. Mmmm...
22. Where were you on July 4th, 2008?
In Maryland. Probably debating whether or not to go down to the National Mall to watch the fireworks.
23. What are your nicknames?
My childhood nickname is Re. I couldn't say Lori, so I always said ReRe. It was shortened to Re. However, there are only 3 people allowed to call me Re: Mom, Dad, and my brother. Other nicknames include: Lo, Lor and P-Lo (my maiden name began with a P).
24. If you could go back in time, how far back would you go?
I would go back to college, just to have one more day in college. I loved college!
25. What is something you are passionate about?
I am passionate about education and people with disabilities.
The end!

untitled..
We had a SNOW DAY today, so no fun tales from the front line.
Instead of fun kid tales, I thought I'd share with you a few things you might not know about me.
Things I don't like..
- bad grammar. I know, I know I'm guilty of typing like I talk and that's fine, it's when people mess up there, their, and they're or your and you're. It hurts my brain to read things like that from adults. Exception: texting. There's just not enough room to type everything properly.
- the toilet paper roll being fed the wrong way. Again, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but my OCD tendencies enjoy the toilet paper coming from the top. Not the bottom.
- horrible drivers.
- negative nancies. I don't like when people are negative about everything. Yes, I have my bad days but I like to think that I have a pretty positive attitude about life and I work with students who come from horrible homes, so I have very little empathy for people who are all "my life sucks because...". It's okay to have a bad day, but not okay to have a bad outlook on life.
- loud breathers. I can.not.stand people who breathe loudly. I feel like I'm sitting with Darth Vader and I usually can't comprehend what is going on because I'm constantly thinking, close your mouth and breath so I can hear what's going on around me.
- the internet. Self explanatory, I think.
- people who shake hands with integrity. There's nothing worse than shaking hands with someone whose hand is limp.
- people who are honest. Seriously, when I'm looking for advice, please be honest. Even if you think it's not what I want to hear, be honest.
- yoga pants. I could live in those things.
- making up words. Yes, it goes against my feelings on grammar, but I love making up words.
- anyone who uses adverbs. And uses them correctly.
- having an honest-to-goodness talk about education. I know, I'm a HUGE nerd, but I strive to be the best teacher I can be.
- sleeping on clean sheets. I'm talking fresh out of the laundry. Bonus points if they are still warm from the dryer.
- a nice surprise. This could be anything. A card or package in the mail, an email from a friend who just wants to say hello, an unexpected 2 hour delay in school, or surprising others!

25 Things...
I was tagged on facebook, but I thought I'd do it on here instead. 25 Random things about me...
- I'm a bit of a control freak.
- I thoroughly enjoy reading trash magazines. The trashier, the bettter.
- After watching the Sarah Palin video where she was pardoning a turkey for Thanksgiving and a turkey was beheaded behind her, I just couldn't stand eating meat knowing how the animals were killed. I'm now a vegetarian.
- Even though I'm a control freak, my house is never tidy. I try so hard.
- I met my husband in a bar while I was in college.
- Today is a snow day and I'm actually sad that I didn't have to go to work today. I miss my kids and I want to share the snow with them! We've been waiting all year to put a square in the snow section of our weather graph.
- Even though I often complain about Maryland, I do love it here.
- I hate being 500 miles away from my family, but I do love that I'm not in Michigan anymore.
- I do not feel sexy. Ever.
- I take anxiety medication (which partially explains the above statement) and I'm still afraid I'm going to have a panic attack.
- I love milk duds.
- I want to be a mother more than anything in the world, but it's not the right time for me and it's hard for me to admit that.
- My dogs mean the world to me.
- I love food. Especially anything salty.
- I feel more at home when I'm teaching than any other place in the world.
- I go through phases where I either save everything in sight or I throw everything away. It's quite strange.
- I'm working on my Master's Degree to be a principal someday.
- Sometimes I'm an introvert hidden in an extrovert's body.
- I always thought I made friends easily, but it's really hard when you're an adult.
- People often think I'm older than I really am, even though I have a babyface.
- I want to be a stay at home mom someday.
- I often hold conversations in my head to rehearse how I think a conversation will go.
- I can drive to and from work without the radio on (mainly because of the above statement).
- My feet are my thermostat. If they are cold, I'm cold. If they are hot, I'm hot.
- My husband hates that I always want to redecorate.
Okay, there's 25 things about me. I tag anyone who wants to play along!
