I had my first taste of the garden today! One cucumber was ready to be picked, so I pulled it and immediately chopped it up to get a taste. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! I was a little nervous, as it was not near as green as the cucumbers I buy at the store, but it tasted just as good. I think it tasted even better because I knew we had worked hard for it!

Today was a pretty blah day. I'm just not quite feeling like myself. I think it has a lot to do with S leaving in a few days. It's been so nice having her around. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do when she's gone! I mean, who else will tag-team the dishes with me? =(

WAIT!! I have the perfect solution to the dishes dilema!!! It's a chance for you and Hubby to spend a little bonding time . . . in the kitchen!! You'll have a chance to catch up on each other's day, tell funny little stories, etc. and you'll feel lots better because the kitchen will be all cleaned up!! : ) Hey, don't laugh. When I was a kid, dishes time (remember - before dishwashers!) was when Gram and I studied the weekly vocab words and multiplication tables. So, you and Hubby can spend a little bonding time doing dishes. BUT, in order for this to work, you'll need to start the "training process" immediately upon the cuz leaving!! Like house training a puppy, it will take some work and lots of positive reinforcement!!!
